The Innovation Fund fuels projects and initiatives that cannot be accomplished alone and that are made stronger by collaboration

Evaluation Criteria

We anticipate project funding will range widely based on the project and could be allocated in phases. Funding decisions will be evaluated by a against the following criteria:

  • The project is anchored by a GPC member organization and is in collaboration with at least one additional member organization.

  • The objectives of the project would meaningfully advance GPC's priorities of advancing equity and facilitating data sharing.

  • The scope of the project addresses priority areas aligned to the needs, challenges and interests of GPC members.

  • The organizations and leaders designing, executing and managing the project have the skills and capabilities needed for success.

  • The project plan is both ambitious and feasible.

  • The outcomes from the project will be shareable and useful for multiple GPC members and/or the philanthropy sector at large.

 FAQs

  • We currently have raised roughly $800,000 for the Innovation Fund. We are planning to award up to $400,000 in the first funding cycle and the remaining funding in 2025. Our hope is to continue to raise additional funds to invest in collaboration and shared resources in the sector.

  • Funding decisions will be rooted in the criteria shared above. Kelly Jones, Head of GPC, will review all submissions and share those that meet all criteria with GPC's advisory committee. The advisory committee will ultimately evaluate each proposal and vote to determine if funding is awarded.
